OUR
Responsabilities

Concerned about the environment and the challenges of global warming, the activities of the Sylvatek group’s subsidiaries are part of a sustainable forest management approach (PEFC label).

Distribution of
forest management
by age

0 to 5 years : Forest renewal

5 to 45 years : Growing stand

45 to 100 years : Mature forest stand

Harvesting of mature wood. Note that we renew much more than we harvest.

Why
harvesting mature wood ?

– To make room for young trees to grow. A young tree in full growth traps much more carbon than a mature one (which is no longer growing).

– To store the carbon trapped in the wood material throughout its use (so much carbon that doesn’t return to the atmosphere).

Using the Sylvatek group’s packaging solutions means giving preference to virtuous materials and products, manufactured in France, in conditions that respect people and nature.

PROMOTE THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND REDUCE THE CARBON FOOTPRINT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

By sourcing French maritime pine, mainly from the Landes de Gascogne forest, and by favouring the shortest supply routes possible, the Sylvatek group is optimizing its environmental impact.

A ZERO WASTE PROCESS

100% of our by-products, sawdust, shavings and chips are recycled into pellets and wood panels.

RESPONSIBLE PRACTICES

We use central vacuum systems to recover a maximum of wood dust.
We use recycled steel and cardboard in our factories and workshops.
We lubricate our machines with rapeseed oil.

INNOVATION AT THE CORE
OF OUR STRATEGY

The inventiveness of our electro-mechanis and the high performance of our robots associated with our quality approach guide us every day a little more towards excellence.
